A set of teachings on important aspects (or “movements”) of the Christian life
which build up and sustain true Christian Discipleship.
Just like the human body has different movements that enable us to function effectively, so our discipleship has different movements that enable us to effectively and fruitfully be disciples of Jesus. At Chapel Hill Uniting Church we call these the 5 C’s:
- Conversion
- Community
- Catalyst
- Conversations
- Contribute
The booklet “Movements of Discipleship” may be downloaded using the “Download” button below. It contains a description of Christian Discipleship, and describes five practices that the church has embraced for 2000 years to facilitate growth in each of these areas. It also outlines the 5 C’s including key scriptures that describe the importance of each movement, and will form the basis of a series of six messages commencing on Sunday 21 January 2024.
- 21 January: “What is Discipleship?”
- 28 January: “Conversion”
- 4 February: “Community”
- 11 February: “Catalyst”
- 18 February: “Conversations”
- 25 February: “Contribute”
You are invited to use this booklet to preview and/or reflect upon each of the messages, and as you ponder these movements, I pray that the Holy Spirit will unlock the fullness of discipleship in you.
Each of these messages will be live-streamed at 9 am Sunday mornings on our YouTube channel, and also available for later viewing.
