In late March, in accordance with Queensland Government Health Directions, we closed our regular Sunday morning services at 7:30 am and 9:00 am, and switched to providing pre-recorded services on our YouTube channel.
On 12 July, with great optimism, we re-opened our face-to-face worship services, but as a result of recent cases of community transmission in the Brisbane area, and some potential COVID contacts in our local area, we switched from face-to-face to a live-streamed worship service at 9:00 am on 2 August.
Since then, no further community transmission has been observed in the Brisbane area, and so the Church Council has decided on a cautious partial re-opening of face-to-face worship, with a service at 9:00 am on 9 August, but no 7:30 am service. The 9:00 am service will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend.
The Church Council, assisted by our COVID Safe Transition Team,
continue to review the situation on a week-by-week basis.
Note: If you miss the live-stream on Sunday morning, the recording of the service will be available from Monday on our YouTube channel:
Worship is our response to the amazing grace of God we experience through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Every Sunday we gather to sing, pray, interact and hear from God.
Generally we have two Sunday morning services, at 7:30 am and 9:00 am, except during part of the summer holiday period, and on some special Sundays (see “Special Services” below).
Our Sunday morning celebrations will feature two distinct styles:
Our 7:30 am celebration is a fairly traditional service with a reflective and structured approach to worship.
Our 9 am celebration is family-oriented, engages contemporary music, and includes programs for kids and teenagers. It is a relaxed and relational time.
Both services emphasize relevant bible-based preaching that can be applied to everyday life.
