In our Community Life Groups, people are able to meet together and build a sense of community in a relaxed, social atmosphere. People may share in a range of group activities, enjoy presentations by other members or invited speakers, or pursue a shared interest together. These groups are great for inviting Pre-Christian friends to.
Women’s Fellowship (3rd Wednesday mornings)
We enjoy morning tea and a varied program of activities, eg, speakers, craft, special meals and sharing days. We participate in UCA Fellowship events and join with women from other denominations for ecumenical days and the annual World Day of Prayer. We also offer prayer and financial support to a range of missions. Women of all ages are welcome!
Men’s Group (3rd Thursday mornings)
Our meetings usually involve a presentation by a member or an invited speaker. However, we also spend time in devotions, sharing our experiences, and lively discussions on current issues (often carrying over into morning tea). We are mainly retired men, but all men are welcome!
Men’s Coffee Group (1st Wednesday mornings)
We are a group of retired men who get together at a local coffee shop once a month for a cuppa and a chat. The group also provides a social outing for some less active men associated with CHUC.
Cafe Catch Up (Friday, monthly)
This informal group provides an opportunity for people to meet for an occasional cuppa and a chat at Kenmore Churches of Christ Cafe. Watch for details in the Church Notices. Lifts available, All welcome.
Craft Group (weekly, Tuesday mornings during school term)
While we work on our craft, we discuss life and the universe! We sometimes work together on a group project. We’re a caring, supportive group, with members from the church and the wider community, who connect with one another through our love of craft. Age group is open.
Board Games (Wednesday afternoon, monthly)
This is an opportunity for women of the church and their invited guests to meet for an afternoon of fun playing board games. Held at 1.00pm on the second Wednesday of each month at the church, some games are provided but feel free to bring your own.
