Walk details:
Join us on Saturday 5th November for our final walk for 2022. This is a special guided bird watching and identifying tour at Oxley Creek Common, Sherwood Road, Rocklea. The walk itself is an easy level 5km suitable for all fitness levels. However, with the birding activity, allocate around 3 hours for the morning. Note the 6am early start, which is necessary to catch as many of the 100+ species as possible.
Our guide will be Professor Hugh Possingham, bird and conservation expert, Queensland Chief Scientist, and President. of Friends of Oxley Creek Common.
Meeting Place: the Red Shed (shown above), on the grounds of the Common near the carpark
Parking: carpark inside the Common
Things to bring: hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, water
